 Management  Committee

Jeunesse et Développement was created in 1993 and was legally registered in 1995. The organisation was set up by young graduates who, after implementing some small projects, found work in other development organisations, which enabled them to gain a range off skills and experience. In April 1999 several members were motivated by a desire to create an effective organisation to encourage local development and they organised a General Assembly which re-launched the activities of the NGO. The first initiative was participatory research in Manankoro, which was financed and facilitated by members of the organisation. Today JandD has a range of local, national and international partners. The NGO is well established and respected, with an annual turnover of around 300 000 000 F CFA (475 000 Euros).
